Help Guide the Future of Paviti Tern

Paviti Tern is seeking skilled, responsible, and committed people to serve on its Board of Directors and steering committee. This is not a ceremonial role. We are looking for people who can help protect the mission, guide the organization, and make thoughtful decisions that will keep Paviti Tern serving veterans well into the future.

The organization is being supported by a large endowment from founder Michael Picciandra. This endowment is intended to help maintain the website, support the vessel, and keep the mission alive for years to come. To do that properly, Paviti Tern needs a strong board made up of competent people who understand responsibility, accountability, service, and long term planning.

We Are Seeking Strong Board Members

Paviti Tern is especially interested in hearing from veterans, business leaders, maritime professionals, financial professionals, legal professionals, nonprofit leaders, tradespeople, and community members who believe in the mission.

Board members should be willing to help oversee the use of the endowment, support the long term care of the TERN, and help guide programs that give veterans a place to volunteer, tell their stories, work with their hands, and find purpose through service and community.

This role requires clear thinking, good judgment, and respect for the mission. The goal is not just to keep the boat running. The goal is to build an organization that can continue serving veterans long after the first stage of the work is complete.

Veterans bring lived experience that cannot be replaced. Paviti Tern is seeking veterans who may be interested in serving on the Board of Directors or joining a steering committee to help guide the future of the organization.
