Board of Directors

Paviti Tern is seeking skilled, responsible, and committed veterans and civilians to serve on its Board of Directors. This is not a ceremonial role. We are looking for a board to protect the mission, guide the organization, and make thoughtful decisions that will keep Paviti Tern serving veterans well into the future.

The organization is being supported by an endowment from founder Michael Picciandra. This endowment consisting of real estate and dollars is intended to help maintain publication of the Veterans Digest , support  and maintain the vessel as well as training veterans to sail the vessel. The endowment will keep the mission alive for years to come. To do that properly, our non profit needs a strong board of directors made up of competent volunteers who understand responsibility, accountability, service, and long term planning. Board members should be willing to help oversee the use of the endowment, create by-laws that support the long term care of S/V PAVITI TERN, establish programs that give veterans a place to volunteer, tell their stories, work with their hands, and find purpose through service and community.

Our non profit was created to serve veterans through truth, purpose, and connection. That mission deserves steady leadership. The Board of Directors will insure the organization operates responsibly, protects the resources left to it, and builds programs that can continue to make a difference.
